Box2overtake is a personal blog. There are no accounts, no ads, no newsletter and no tracking cookies. This page explains the little data that is processed when you visit, and why.
I use Umami, a privacy-focused,
open-source analytics tool that I host myself at stats.box2overtake.com. It does not use cookies,
does not track you across websites, and does not store your IP address. It records aggregate information such as
the page visited, the referring site, browser, operating system, device type and approximate country. None of it
identifies you, and it is never shared with or sold to anyone.
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. I don't have access to logs that identify individual visitors.
If you write to [email protected], I receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. I use it only to reply, and I delete it on request.
Posts link to my apps (on *.box2overtake.com subdomains) and to third-party sites such as GitHub
and LinkedIn. Those have their own behaviour and policies; this page covers the blog only.
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete any personal data I hold about you, which in practice means emails you've sent me. Write to [email protected] and I'll handle it.
